Overcoming a Deadly Offense
A deadly offense is an offense that if left unchecked it will cost you your life.
Sin is a deadly offense deposited by the devil against mankind, it is a spiritual parasitoid.
According to Wikipedia, a parasitoid is an organism that spends a significant portion of its life history attached to or within a single host in a relationship that is in essence parasitic; unlike a true parasite, however, it ultimately sterilizes or kills, and sometimes consumes, the host. Thus, parasitoids are similar to typical parasites except in the more dire prognosis for the host. An insect and especially a wasp that completes its larval development within the body of another insect eventually killing it and is free-living as an adult is a parasitoid.
Save yourself from a deadly offense
To be cured from a parasitoid, the host must be purged/purified of the offense, the parasitoid must be separated/cut off/removed from its host. Sin is a parasitoid that can only be cut off/separated or removed from within.
The Cure
The only cure is Jesus Christ!
In order to be free from sin we must be purged by the blood of Jesus, so that sin no longer dwells in us. The contaminate may be present around you but will not live in you.
Romans 10: 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
Our insides must be made new. Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Avoid s at all cost to prevent being contaminated.
2 Corithians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
If you are infected, cut off the source of the contamination. Sin no more.
Jesus says it like this …Matthew 5: 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. 30And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to depart into hell.…
