Greener Pastures

Many people struggle with accepting the hand they were dealt in life and many strive for greener pastures. During this journey of discovery, we sometimes forget to appreciate the here and now and all it has to offer; gaining new treasures while losing what is truly precious. Seeking a way out of the now and desperately chasing for better and bigger opportunities.

As we look towards what we perceive to be better, we begin to develop a resentment for where we are, instead of living in the moment and making it count. The treasures to be gained from living now and appreciating where you began is often lost over time because of ambition in search of greener pastures. As time passes we begin to lose faces, memories, purpose and even values that often shape who we are and the reason why we look towards better.

Love the people in your life, keep them close and share them with others

John 21:15-17

15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

Never lose sight of what truly matters. People matter, at the end of the day, the love that we have one for another and the effort we place on maintaining that love in the end is the only thing we have.

Christ message of love is simple, people matter, never forget the people in your life, it makes the journey and the benefits of greener pastures that much sweeter.

How enjoyable is a feast without people to share it with; the more the merrier.
